Accommodation in the Pyrenees and Lleida region anticipates over 80% occupancy for Diada weekend

Accommodation providers in the Pyrenees and the Lleida region are forecasting occupancy rates of over 80% for the upcoming Diada weekend, which runs from Friday to Sunday. Juan Antonio Serrano, the vice president of the Lleida Provincial Tourism Board, noted that the strong booking levels reflect the success of the tourism sector, building on the positive results seen in August.

Hotels in the Pyrenees are expecting to achieve a remarkable 90% occupancy rate, while those in the Lleida region anticipate around 40%. Rural tourism homes and bungalows are also set to reach approximately 80% occupancy. In contrast, camping sites are expected to see lower figures, with an estimated 30% occupancy.

Serrano emphasised that visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy the natural beauty, cultural offerings, and gastronomy of Lleida. He also mentioned that active tourism companies are entering the final stretch of their season, which concludes in mid-October, and are experiencing a high volume of bookings for the holiday period.
