From 17 October, Figueres will kick off the autumn edition of the Cicle de Cinema Infantil en Català (Children's Cinema Cycle in Catalan). The season will commence with the screening of the film 'Hoppers' this first weekend.
The cycle will conclude with 'Minions & Monsters' on 21 and 22 November, before reopening in spring. The CINC was first introduced in Figueres in 2011, initially screening at the Teatre Municipal el Jardí. Since then, it has been held almost every year, featuring both a spring and an autumn edition.
In terms of screening venues, the event later moved to the Sala La Cate and, since 2017, has established the Cat Cines Figueres shopping complex as its main venue. This change has allowed for a doubling of the selection of affordable children's films in Catalan available in the region.
