The Association of Victims of Terrorism (AVT) has presented its prestigious 'Cruz de la dignidad' honour to Jesús Fernando Agudo Sánchez, the councillor for Culture, Institutional Relations, Protocol, and the Elderly in Villanueva de la Cañada. The award was given during a ceremony titled 'Dignity and memory against terrorism: a commitment of the State', held in the Senate.
The event, attended by the mayor of Villanueva de la Cañada, Luis Partida, aimed to pay tribute to the victims of terrorism and recognise those who have worked tirelessly to uphold their memory, dignity, and justice. During the ceremony, various public representatives and professionals from different sectors, including law enforcement, the judiciary, and media, were also honoured.
The ceremony concluded with remarks from the president of the Senate, Pedro Rollán, alongside speeches from the AVT president, Lucía Ruiz, and AVT councillor, Ángel Folguera.
