Ballet of Kiev to perform 'Swan Lake' in Estepona

The Ukrainian Ballet of Kiev is set to grace the stage of the Felipe VI Auditorium in Estepona on 9 October at 20:30, performing the renowned ballet 'Swan Lake'. This beloved production, composed by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky between 1875 and 1876, tells the enchanting story of Prince Siegfried, who falls in love with Princess Odette, transformed into a swan by the evil sorcerer Von Rothbart.

Tchaikovsky's music is celebrated for its beauty and emotional depth, featuring timeless melodies that convey themes of sadness, joy, hope, and love. The ballet is particularly famous for its stunning choreography, which captures the grace and elegance of swans through fluid and delicate movements. The 'Swan Dance' remains one of the most iconic segments in ballet history, showcasing the dancers' ability to mimic the elegance of these majestic birds.

'Swan Lake' has captivated audiences worldwide for over a century, with its music and choreography continuing to resonate as powerfully today as they did at its premiere more than 100 years ago. It is undoubtedly a timeless piece, revered as a masterpiece of classical music and dance.

This year, Golberg, the organising company for the tour, will also contribute funds to support UNICEF's efforts in response to the emergency in Ukraine. Tickets are available for purchase at teatroestepona.com and at the auditorium box office two hours before the performance.
