The Betanzos History Reading Club has officially begun its new year, with local resident Sara Fraga Pérez at the helm. This year, the initiative is part of the project titled “Red de Correspondencia Lectora: Comunidades de Lectura en Diálogo,” which is funded by the Ministry of Culture.
Weekly meetings will take place at the local library or community centres, where participants will read texts related to the history of Betanzos, share personal memories, and discuss various historical episodes with fellow residents. A new feature this year includes writing letters and postcards to connect with other reading communities across Spain.
