Cáceres Chamber of Commerce unveils artistic mural in support of Cáceres 2031

The Cáceres Chamber of Commerce has unveiled a new mural adorning the exterior patio of its facilities, attended by nearly a hundred business leaders, institutional authorities, and cultural agents from Extremadura. This artistic intervention, created by the Plasencia artist Jesús Mateos Brea, is part of the institution's commitment to culture and the excellence of the agro-food sector in the province of Cáceres.

The inauguration was attended by Gabriel Álvarez Arroyo, president of the Cáceres Chamber of Commerce; Laureano León, the Culture Counsellor of the Junta de Extremadura; Rafael Mateos, the mayor of Cáceres; Elisabeth Martín, the Tourism Deputy; and the artist himself, Jesús Mateos Brea.

This initiative is part of the agenda linked to Cáceres 2031 and reflects the Chamber of Commerce's support for the European candidacy, based on the belief that “culture is an essential element for the development of the city, the generation of new opportunities, and the projection of the province of Cáceres and Extremadura.”

Gabriel Álvarez Arroyo emphasised that the institution's support for Cáceres 2031 “goes beyond a specific action and reflects a desire to actively contribute to building a collective project.” He also invited citizens to take advantage of the Noche del Patrimonio (Night of Heritage) to view the mural and learn more about the entity “from the inside.”

Culture Counsellor Laureano León remarked that the mural “is not just a work of art: it is a statement of intentions,” highlighting its value as an artistic testament to the identity of the province of Cáceres. Mayor Rafael Mateos and Tourism Deputy Elisabeth Martín also praised the initiative and its contribution to local culture.

The inaugural event also announced that the Cáceres Chamber of Commerce will participate once again in the Noche del Patrimonio, taking place on the evenings of 11 and 12 September from 20:00 to 24:00 hours.
