The Cáceres City Council is backing the Norbanova Cultural Association in hosting the 'A Trazos' art, illustration, and design market, scheduled for Saturday, October 3, on Professor Rodríguez Moñino Street from 11 AM to 8 PM.
This market will showcase quality cultural content and feature approximately twenty artists and creators. Jorge Suárez, the city’s Councillor for Culture, stated that this initiative aims to support the talent and creativity within the fields of art, illustration, craftsmanship, and design.
Participating creators include Froggy, Cris Mareza, Editorial Habla de Arte, Sanhei, Beatriz Díaz, Angiolina Antolín, Marta García San Pedro, Lucía Borrego, Sandra Fernández, Laura Díaz Santos, La Experiencia Libros, Don Gorrión, Aníbal Mellado, Sheila Rodríguez, Deli Cornejo, Miriam Gómez, La lente y el pincel, María Polán, AmandaSinSanto, and Doña Tos.
The event is designed to appeal to a broad audience, including both specialists and those interested in a unique cultural and leisure offering. It presents a rare opportunity to discover, explore, converse with, and purchase original works or limited edition prints directly from the artists.
'A Trazos' is part of the Cáceres Ilustra project, a biennial illustration event organized by the association aimed at highlighting the talent and creativity of the city’s artistic community, increasing their visibility and accessibility to a wider audience.
In case of adverse weather conditions, the market will be relocated to the 'El Descubrimiento' Shopping Center, with adjusted hours from 11 AM to 3 PM.
Suárez emphasized the council's commitment to supporting initiatives from various cultural associations, which play a vital role in the city's activities and have established Cáceres as a cultural reference point both regionally and beyond. He noted that the 'A Trazos' market is a significant platform for the Norbanova Cultural Association to advocate for the city's talent and creativity, inviting all citizens to attend this Saturday.
“We continue to work and support initiatives as we aim for cultural capital status in 2031, because Cáceres is culture. And culture is the way forward,” Suárez concluded.
