The Santa Ponça Galatzó Library will host a wide range of workshops, traditional games, circus performances, and children's activities on 24 October. This event is part of a month-long celebration across the seven municipal libraries in Calvià, organised by the Municipal Institute of Education and Libraries (IMEB) through Biblioteques de Calvià.
The festivities will take place from 10:00 to 14:00, offering a variety of engaging activities suitable for all ages. Highlights include creative workshops such as 'rasca màgic' and badge-making organised by Temps Lliure, recycled game areas with a carousel provided by Lila Jocs Reciclats, and a space for traditional games and stimulation for babies aged 0 to 2 years, hosted by the Ludoteca de Jardí.
The day will also feature face painting by Mundo Arcoiris and a storytelling workshop titled "El llibre de les històries" led by Educaclown. The event will conclude with a circus performance and juggling workshop by Els germans Katiuska from 11:00 to 14:00.
Notably, the event's promotional materials have been designed by users of the social entity Esment, highlighting the inclusive nature of the initiative. Through this event, the Calvià Town Hall and IMEB reaffirm their commitment to libraries as vibrant spaces for community engagement, cultural dynamism, and collective learning.
