Calvià is currently hosting LOOP Autumn 2026, an event designed to connect leading European luxury travel designers with top-tier international tourism providers. The event commenced on 22 October and will run until 1 November, featuring approximately 500 highly specialised professionals from the luxury tourism sector.
The opening night included a welcome dinner at Nikki Beach in Magaluf, marking the beginning of the LOOP Wellbeing edition, which focuses on wellness travel and is expected to attract around 100 attendees. The programme continues with activities such as "Destination Insight - Authentic Mallorca," offering participants various wellness experiences, including a dinner at Finca Son Vic Vell in Calvià.
Unlike traditional trade fairs, LOOP promotes individual pre-scheduled meetings among professionals, fostering a social atmosphere. The event is characterised by its high-quality profile, with buyers managing budgets exceeding €250,000 per client.
Event structure and focus
LOOP Autumn 2026 is divided into three distinct meetings held at various venues in Santa Ponça:
- LOOP Wellbeing (22-25 October): Specialising in luxury wellness travel, with around 100 participants.
- LOOP Leisure (25-29 October): Targeted at luxury travel agency buyers and specialised tour operators, expecting about 280 attendees.
- LOOP MICE (29 October - 1 November): Focused on the luxury MICE segment (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Events), with around 120 expected participants.
The Calvià Town Council is collaborating with the event's organisers to ensure that Magaluf is highlighted as a destination, aligning with the 'Magaluf for All' campaign and enhancing the area's positioning for professional tourism and meetings.
Participants will be presented with the significant transformation of the area, showcasing new spaces and services. This initiative aims to leverage the LOOP Autumn platform to strengthen key positioning aspects, including accessible and inclusive offerings, diversified leisure options, premium services, urban renewal, environmental quality, and the organisational capacity of Magaluf for MICE tourism.
Networking and social engagement
Beyond its commercial focus, LOOP combines efficient pre-scheduled meetings with an engaging social programme. The business agenda is complemented by joint activities and excursions designed to create a relaxed environment that encourages networking and interaction among professionals. This social component allows participants to forge new alliances and deepen existing connections through shared experiences.
Through these efforts, the Town Council aims to enhance the perception and image of Magaluf and the entire municipality in international markets, capitalising on the presence of these buyers and influencers to attract higher-value tourism demand. This initiative is supported by funding from the Sustainable Tourism Tax (ITS) of the Government of the Balearic Islands.
