Cambrils will host a charity orienteering race on 25 October, organised by the Catalan Physiotherapists' Association (CFC) in celebration of World Physiotherapy Day (DiFT). This event is part of a broader programme that will see six races held across Catalonia during September, October, and November.

The remaining races are scheduled to take place in Tremp (27 September), Terres de l’Ebre (4 October), Central Catalonia (15 November), as well as in Banyoles and Lleida, with dates yet to be confirmed.

During a presentation of the event, Cambrils' mayor, Oliver Klein, along with the sports councillor, Gemma Balanyà, and representatives from the CFC, highlighted the significance of hosting such events, which align with Cambrils' commitment to promoting sports and health.

Balanyà noted that the event has a family-friendly aspect, promoting leisure and healthy habits beyond just the competitive element. Cristina Adillón, the territorial coordinator of the CFC, explained that the aim of the activity is to raise awareness of the physiotherapy profession and to promote public health. The race is designed to be accessible to all, regardless of age or fitness level, and no prior orienteering knowledge is required.

The race will commence at 9:15 am from the port area and involves participants locating hidden flags using a map. The registration fee is set at €5, with all proceeds going to the TV3 Marathon, which this year focuses on neurodegenerative and neuromuscular diseases.

Teams of 3 to 5 people can choose to walk or run the course and decide how many flags they wish to find. Participants can take part in one or multiple races, with those completing at least three races eligible for the Final Championship.

The Catalan Physiotherapists' Association is a professional body that advocates for the interests of physiotherapists in Catalonia and ensures best practices in the field. It currently represents 13,500 members, providing training, guidance, support, and promotion of the profession.

The main event for World Physiotherapy Day 2026 was held on 15 October at the Muntaner Theatre in Barcelona, featuring a live podcast session titled "What happened to you?" hosted by Albert Om and Joan Maria Pou, known for their engaging and humorous style.
