Chiclana to host MecatolFest dedicated to 'The Godfather' on 7 November

The Box Centre in Chiclana will be the venue for the upcoming MecatolFest on 7 November. This free event will focus on 'The Godfather', offering attendees a variety of board games, workshops, and role-playing sessions throughout the day.

Fede Díaz, the municipal delegate for Youth, along with Roberto De Nicola and Antonio Hidalgo from the Mecatol Rex Cádiz Association, held a press conference to announce this year's edition of MecatolFest. The event is designed for both young people and adults, aiming to promote leisure and culture within the community.

Díaz emphasised that this will be the last activity organised by the association in 2026, inviting everyone to participate and enjoy a welcoming environment where they can engage in games, regardless of their prior experience.

Roberto De Nicola explained that each year, the festival chooses an engaging theme, and this time it revolves around iconic series and films that have inspired board and role-playing games. The goal is to allow participants to experience elements they have previously seen on screen.

Participants aged 14 and above are recommended to join, and Antonio Hidalgo noted that those interested in learning more about the Mecatol Rex Cádiz Association can visit their headquarters on Friday afternoons or Saturday mornings for a space to play and socialise with a diverse age group.

For further information about the event or to register for the planned role-playing activities, interested individuals can visit the association's website.
