As part of its initiative to promote the Galician language, the Municipal Libraries of A Coruña are organizing two conversational groups aimed at adults who wish to improve their spoken Galician in a relaxed and informal setting. These groups will be facilitated by a native speaker.
The program is designed for individuals who have some knowledge of the language but do not use it in their daily lives. Participants are encouraged to engage in linguistic and cultural exchange within this supportive environment.
The conversational groups are part of the provincial network "Falarmos nós," which is supported by the Language Area of the A Coruña Provincial Council. This initiative aims to provide safe and participatory spaces for those looking to incorporate Galician into their everyday conversations.
The sessions will run from October to December, with several meetings scheduled each month. Registration opens on October 8, and interested individuals can sign up at their local library or through the library's website. Spaces will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, so it is advisable to contact the library for availability.
