On October 6, 2026, the cultural space Contemporánea Condeduque, part of Madrid's Area of Culture, Tourism and Sport, will host an event titled ‘Cuestión de piel’ (Question of Skin). The discussion aims to explore the nuances of human interaction through physical contact.
The event will feature four speakers: Marie Bardet, a teacher, philosopher, and dance researcher; Pablo Cerezo, a sociologist and bookseller; Noelia Romero, an editor and writer; and Juan Evaristo Valls Boix, a writer and philosophy professor. The discussion is scheduled to begin at 19:00 in the Salón de Actos.
Although tickets for the event have sold out, it will be available for streaming on the center's YouTube channel.
The conversation will delve into how the skin, hands, and gestures serve as mediums for expressing emotions and relationships. The speakers will address the various meanings that can be conveyed through a simple touch, discussing themes of affection, care, control, and harm.
