Cultural, sporting and social initiatives receive €46,000 in municipal funding

The mayor of Marín, María Ramallo, has formalised collaboration agreements that will distribute €46,000 in municipal grants to seven local organisations. These funds are intended to support activities across social, cultural, commercial, and sporting domains.

The agreements enhance the collaboration between the Concello de Marín (the local council) and organisations that play a vital role in community engagement, cultural promotion, and local commerce. The municipal support enables these entities to continue their projects and address the needs of the community throughout the year, while also acknowledging the dedication of those involved in their operations.

Support for social care and community assistance

A portion of the funding is allocated to organisations focused on social and community care. The Asociación Española Contra el Cáncer (Spanish Association Against Cancer) will receive €4,000; Amor en Acción will receive €3,000; the Comedor Social (Social Dining Room) will be granted €5,000; and Sor Elvira will receive €3,000.

Funding for commerce, culture, and sports

The agreements also include a €4,000 grant for Estrela de Marín, aimed at promoting and energising local commerce, which is crucial for the town's economy and daily life. In the cultural sector, the Ateneo Santa Cecilia will receive €6,000 to support its efforts in cultural dissemination and promotion. Additionally, Marín Futsal will be awarded €20,000 to back its sporting activities and contributions to local sports.

Strengthening the associative fabric

The signing of these agreements reflects the local government's commitment to maintaining stable collaboration with entities that enrich life in Marín and provide essential services to its residents. The local administration values the commitment of the organisations' leadership, their members, and volunteers, whose efforts enable initiatives that reach various sectors of the population.
