EnRedArte launches new craft workshops in Tuineje and Gran Tarajal

The EnRedArte programme, run by the Craftsmanship Department of the Cabildo of Fuerteventura, has announced the addition of two new traditional craft workshops in Tuineje and Gran Tarajal. These workshops focus on the creation of almazuelas and traditional patchwork, as well as palm weaving.

Designed for individuals interested in learning these artisanal techniques, the initiative aims to preserve traditional knowledge and crafts. Lolina Negrín, the Craftsmanship Councillor, emphasised the importance of such initiatives in making craftsmanship accessible to the public and facilitating the transmission of traditional skills. She stated, “With EnRedArte, we want people to discover and learn artisanal techniques that are part of our heritage while creating spaces to share knowledge and keep these traditions alive.”

Details of the workshops

The workshop on almazuelas and traditional patchwork will be led by Bianca Scarpari and will take place from 20 October to 30 November 2026, on Tuesdays from 16:00 to 20:00 in Tuineje. This beginner-level course has ten places available.
