In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Constitution, the Junta de Comunidades de Castilla-La Mancha is launching an exhibition that will visit more than a hundred towns across the region, including consuegra.
The exhibition, titled '50 years together for the Constitution: The Transition in images: building a new reality in Castilla-La Mancha (1976-2026)', will be on display in consuegra from 20 to 26 October 2026 at Paseo Ramón y Cajal. Admission is free.
The Transition was a significant phenomenon that engaged the political, economic, symbolic, and emotional dimensions of Castilla-La Mancha. It represented not merely an institutional change or administrative reconfiguration; rather, it was a process that permeated daily life, restructured social networks, transformed modes of exchange, reshaped collective representations, and fostered the development of new regional imaginaries.
The exhibition is part of a broader initiative that includes concerts, film screenings, and meetings in over a hundred localities across the five provinces of Castilla-La Mancha.
