The exhibition 'the soul of the earth', showcasing the work of sculptor Carmen Belén Serrano, will be inaugurated on 8 October at CALMA in Tomelloso. This marks Serrano's first solo exhibition in the town, following a distinguished career both locally and internationally, deeply rooted in the culture and agricultural heritage of La Mancha.
The exhibition features 15 works, including several large-scale pieces, and offers a retrospective of Serrano's 25-year artistic journey. Her creations explore various styles, ranging from realism and hyperrealism to abstraction. Throughout her career, she has utilised materials such as steel, clay, and concrete, while also incorporating innovative techniques and materials that allow her to create large works with reduced weight.
Visitors can view the exhibition at CALMA from 8 October until 15 November.
