The historic area of Escaldes-Engordany is set to host the third edition of the Cursa 3 Ponts on Saturday, 31 October. This event, organised by the Comú d'Escaldes-Engordany, seeks to blend physical activity with community involvement and the discovery of the parish's heritage.
Maintaining its original spirit, the Cursa 3 Ponts aims to bring sports to a diverse audience while inviting participants to explore the historic zone in a unique way. The event will feature two routes tailored to different participant profiles, combining physical activity with heritage discovery.
Laura López, the Sports Councillor, emphasised that “the event takes place in a privileged space, namely the historic part of the parish and the three recently restored bridges.” She encouraged participants to dress in costumes and announced that there will be entertainment along the entire route.
Ana Campoy, a technician from the Sports Department, detailed that two courses are available for different participant profiles. The popular route, measuring 2.5 kilometres, will start at 18:00 and is designed as a non-competitive event open to runners of all ages. An hour later, at 19:00, the longer race will commence, covering a more challenging distance of 3,250 metres, complete with official timing.
Both the start and finish lines for the two events will be located at Prat del Roure, where a communal hot chocolate will be served to conclude the festivities. Interested participants can register from today, with entry fees set at €3 for the popular route and €10 for the competitive race.
