The upcoming art a l'Horta Festival on 18 October promises a vibrant celebration of culture and agrotourism in Lleida, offering entertainment for all ages, music, and local produce. The festival aims to bring culture closer to the public by providing unconventional spaces and fostering a dialogue between art, landscape, heritage, history, and quality products, highlighting the green surroundings of Lleida.
The Celler de Sanui, located in the Partida Torres de Sanui, will once again serve as the venue for this autumn cycle of the festival, which strengthens its connection with the JazzTardor festival. The event will feature a concert by the Andreu Giró Quartet at 12:30, showcasing a repertoire that blends original compositions with a contemporary take on jazz and improvisation. The quartet draws from jazz traditions while incorporating modern influences and emphasising interaction among the four musicians, focusing on rhythm, textures, and collective development of the pieces.
Prior to the concert, at 11:30, the Tandor & Paxton company will present a family-friendly show filled with magic, music, humour, surprises, audience participation, and a healthy dose of absurdity in their performance, Filigranes. Throughout the day, local producers from l'Horta will be present, offering visitors the chance to enjoy the festival with all their senses.
The art a l'Horta initiative is organised by the Culture Department of the Paeria and is supported by the Lleida Provincial Council through the Institute of Ilerdian Studies, alongside the Association of Producers of l'Horta de Lleida, the Association for the Interpretation of l'Horta de Lleida, the Horta Brand, and the Celler de Sanui.
To promote sustainable mobility, free buses will run from Lleida city (Sanidad stop, at Ricard Viñes Square) to the Sanui winery, with return buses available, encouraging environmentally friendly transport options for attendees.
