Italian influencers explore Costa Blanca to boost tourism and air connectivity

A group of influencers from Italy is visiting Costa Blanca from today until next Monday to gain first-hand experience of the tourist resources, experiences, and products offered by the province of Alicante. This promotional initiative is driven by the Provincial Tourism Board in collaboration with Turespaña and its Tourism Office in Rome.

The visit comes as part of efforts to strengthen air connectivity between Alicante and the Italian market, following the reopening of the route to Naples and the introduction of new direct flights to Venice and Catania.

“The aim of this trip is for participants to experience the various resources, experiences, and tourist products of the province of Alicante and to generate digital content,” said José Mancebo, director of the Provincial Tourism Board. He added that “the strategy focuses on linking the promotion of Costa Blanca to the improvement of air connectivity between Alicante and Italy, enhancing awareness of the destination among potential Italian travellers.”

During their stay, the influencers will explore various coastal and inland destinations, as well as aspects related to gastronomy, culture, heritage, lifestyle, and accommodation options. Guided tours, culinary experiences such as a workshop on making Alicante rice, and active tourism activities like a catamaran trip have been organised for them.

Among the influencers participating are Alessandro Belardo and Consiglia Petruolo from the profile @viaggiaconliaeale, winners of the Italy Ambassador Awards 2024 in the Travel Content Creator category, and Carmen Aprile and Antonio Volpe from @travelwithcarmenaprile, who have promoted tourist destinations including the Azores, Switzerland, Slovenia, Poland, Croatia, the Dominican Republic, and Jordan.

This promotional effort also involves collaboration with Visit Benidorm, Visit Elche, and the Town Hall of El Castell de Guadalest.
