The II Copa Pádel Diputación de Ávila has crowned its champions, with La Moraña dominating the finals held at Naturávila. The three trophies were awarded to teams from the region, with Mirueña de los Infanzones successfully defending their title by defeating Langa in the men's final. Arévalo triumphed over Barromán in the women's final, while Fuente el Sauz emerged victorious against the Arévalo pair in the mixed final.
Notably, the third and fourth places in both the men's and women's categories were also claimed by teams from La Moraña: Hurtumpascual (3rd) and Pajares de Adaja (4th) among the men, and Langa (3rd) and Muñomer del Peco (4th) among the women.
Throughout Saturday, the 16 qualifying teams competed across the three categories at the Diputación's Centre for Leisure and Sport, attended by Luis Padró, the Deputy for Sports and Naturávila; Javier González, the Deputy for Culture; and Fernando Toribio, the deputy who advocated for the tournament's funding through a budget amendment. The three officials presented trophies and medals in a ceremony that extended past 9 PM.
“It has been a day of competition and camaraderie among the teams, showcasing a high level of padel that leaves us satisfied and eager for the third edition, where we will continue to refine organisational aspects to ensure participants enjoy a tournament that this year featured 45 teams,” said Luis Padró, the Deputy for Sports and Naturávila.
