La Tesela: a hub for work, entrepreneurship and creativity in Lucena

Lucena's mayor, Aurelio Fernández, recently visited La Tesela, located on Veracruz Street, to explore the workings of this initiative that brings together professionals, local businesses, and projects from various sectors, offering a blend of shared workspaces and cultural programming.

La Tesela serves as a coworking space for individuals working for companies outside of Lucena, as well as for local businesses seeking a venue to develop their activities. Current projects based in this space include Palike Comunicación, AOV Ingeniería, and Tarara Films.

In addition to its professional aspect, La Tesela has a cultural dimension. During weekends and at certain times of the year, the workspace is adapted to host cultural activities and workshops, utilising the same venue for different purposes and encouraging interaction between professionals and those interested in this field.

During his visit, Fernández highlighted the importance of initiatives like La Tesela in fostering new ways of working in Lucena. He emphasised the potential to launch projects from the city that have a reach beyond the local area, focusing on “the entrepreneurial spirit of its members and the opportunity to work from Lucena for clients worldwide, contributing to making the city a place where one can develop a life project and retain talent.”

La Tesela currently offers 12 workstations, with some available for new users. Interested individuals can check the conditions and find more information on their website or visit their facilities at 17 Veracruz Street.
