LleidaJove Fest 2026 to showcase young artists in Blas Infante square

Blas Infante square will transform into a vibrant showcase of young talent in Lleida on 17 October, with the third edition of the LleidaJove Fest. This annual event, organised by the Youth Department of the Paeria, will run for 12 hours, from 10 am to 10 pm, offering a diverse programme of music, dance, urban culture, workshops, participatory activities, and creative proposals, all free and open to the public.

The festival aims to highlight the talent, creativity, and concerns of Lleida's youth, providing a platform for them to present their artistic projects and expressions while allowing the community to engage with the variety of initiatives generated by the city's young people.

Xavi Blanco, the Councillor for Youth, Education, and Employment at the Paeria, stated, "We want young people to have their own spaces to express themselves, create, participate, and connect. The LleidaJove Fest embodies this vision, creating an open, inclusive, and participatory environment where different cultural expressions of youth can be shared with the community. In Lleida, youth is present and shapes the future," he concluded.

A central feature of the day will be the Ideas Market, which will operate throughout the festival from 10 am to 10 pm. This space will bring together young creators and artisans showcasing and selling their works across various disciplines, including illustration, drawing, painting, photography, design, sculpture, jewellery, textile design, and artistic installations.

The event will also feature permanent municipal youth services, including information points from LleidaJove and the Comprehensive LGBTI+ Attention Service (SAI Lleida), offering guidance and support on municipal resources available to young people.

The main stage programme will feature local artists and groups across different disciplines and styles, with a particular focus on dance, urban music, and cultural expressions linked to youth. The morning will kick off with a welcome address and institutional speech at 11.45 am, followed by dance performances from the Escola Factoria D at 12.00 pm, contemporary dance by Moussa Traore at 12.15 pm, and K-pop performances by Kpop Teens and Byeolbit Crew from the El Mirall Dance School at 12.30 pm. At 1.15 pm, local artist Ares Marchal will perform an acoustic pop concert.

After a midday break from 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm, activities will resume with a Capoeira demonstration by the Topázio Lleida Association at 4.00 pm. The afternoon will continue with performances from the Arts Centre de Dansa at 5.15 pm and Dancescape at 6.00 pm, which will include a family urban dance workshop and showcases from four competition groups: A two S, Shudders, Luvob, and Groovies. Live music will also feature prominently, with an indie-pop concert by Reus-based artist Joël at 6.45 pm, followed by a performance from the local gothic metal and hard rock band Damnor at 8.45 pm. The dance programme will conclude with La Dansa Estudi at 7.30 pm and a K-pop Random Dance session by Kz7 at 8.00 pm.

The festival will wrap up at 9.30 pm with a Drag show by Haus of Ponent, a project that emerged from a Drag workshop organised by the SAI LGBTI+ service in spring 2026.

LleidaJove Fest will also include various participatory activities, allowing attendees to learn, experience, and share. Among the offerings is a beginner's DJ workshop, hosted by the AM+ Association from 12.00 pm to 2.00 pm, which requires prior registration. In the afternoon, from 5.30 pm to 7.00 pm, the riverside grass area will host an outdoor Tai Chi and Chi Kung workshop, part of the Vesprada Jove project aimed at promoting physical and mental well-being. Finally, from 6.00 pm to 8.00 pm, a creative cooking workshop will invite participants to express their creativity through the preparation of tapas, which also requires prior registration.

This third edition reinforces the LleidaJove Fest as an annual meeting point for the city’s youth, combining culture, healthy leisure, participation, training, and coexistence, while showcasing the talent and creative capacity of Lleida's young people. The event is free and open to all members of the public.
