Local government to reconstruct bridge over river Barxa in Sárdoma

The local government of Vigo has announced plans to reconstruct the existing bridge located at Estrada Fragosiño, 42, over the river Barxa. The project comes with a budget that exceeds €15,000.

Mayor Abel Caballero reported on the hiring of a team to draft the reconstruction project for the bridge, which provides access for vehicles to properties at numbers 42 and 59 on Fragosiño Street, where the road ends. Due to the bridge's current condition, technical assessments have deemed it necessary to remove the existing structure and subsequently rebuild the crossing.

Currently, the Concello is exploring various design and construction alternatives, which may include prefabricated elements, in-situ concrete pouring, or metal structures, as explained by the mayor.
