The Mieres City Council, led by the Culture Department under Nuria Ordóñez, is set to launch guided tours of Pozu Santa Bárbara in conjunction with the exhibition 'Data Fossils. Diary of an Internet User' by French artist Anne Horel. This initiative offers a unique opportunity to explore Horel's vibrant universe of color, humor, and pop culture while also uncovering the history of the first mining well in Spain designated as a Cultural Heritage Site (Bien de Interés Cultural, BIC), which has now been transformed into a major center for artistic experiences.
The guided tours will commence next weekend, specifically on Saturday, October 17, at 5:30 PM and Sunday, October 18, at 12:30 PM. Registrations for these two events are already open.

The new exhibition is a retrospective that invites visitors to delve into the internet as a stratified site of digital culture, featuring a journey filled with humor, saturation, and excess, exploring both the surface of the screen and what lies beneath. Horel has been constructing her unique universe since 2009, recycling, recomposing, and cutting images from various sources, while also addressing the implications of artificial intelligence on our relationship with reality and truth.
This engaging exhibition, which encourages enjoyment, participation, and reflection, is currently open and will run until January 7, with free entry. Visitors can attend on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 4:30 PM to 8:30 PM, and on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM and 4:30 PM to 8:30 PM.
