On October 9, 2026, the City Council of Miranda de Ebro will celebrate the ninth edition of the National Cycle of Cinema and Rural Women, an initiative aimed at bringing to the public the stories, experiences, and realities of rural women through film. This event will take place in 530 venues across the country, including Miranda de Ebro.

The City Council has joined the programming of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Food, which will feature three film screenings at the Municipal House of Culture, with free admission starting at 8 PM. The schedule includes:

  • October 26: “La Buena Suerte” by Gracia Querejeta
  • October 28: “La terra negra” by Alberto Morais
  • November 4: “Lo que queda de ti” by Gala Gracia

Additionally, on October 20 at 7:30 PM, the Casa de Igualdad will host a conference titled “Women in the Spotlight of Rural Development.” This conference will cover three main topics:

  1. Debunking stereotypes associated with rural women that obscure their diverse realities and contributions to socio-economic and cultural development.
  2. Presenting the heterogeneous reality of these women through various profiles.
  3. The benefits of incorporating a gender perspective into public policies in rural areas.
