The patron saint festivities in Molina de Segura are set to take place from 4 to 22 September 2025, offering an extensive programme of activities. Mayor José Ángel Alfonso has highlighted that "our festivities are an explosion of life, a collective expression of excitement, a desire to share and celebrate what we are—a city that is enterprising, supportive, and inherently optimistic."

The programme includes the 20th edition of the B SIDE Festival, performances by artists such as David Otero, Fangoria, Nancys Rubias, Los Secretos, Maestro Espada, Mojinos Escozíos, Juan Magán, Nacha Pop, Manu Tenorio, and Los Inhumanos, as well as children's musicals, tribute acts, stand-up comedy, zarzuela (a Spanish lyric-dramatic genre), folklore, guided tours, and various sports and religious activities.

The festivities will kick off on Thursday, 4 September, with the opening ceremony and a concert by Maestro Espada at the Teatro Villa de Molina. The official programme and promotional poster were presented at Restaurante Ambigú, attended by Mayor José Ángel Alfonso, the Local Festivities Councillor Juan de Dios García, and the Sports and Health Councillor Carlos Perelló.

The celebrations will continue until Monday, 22 September, a public holiday in the town, marking the return of the town's patroness, the Virgen de la Consolación, to her hermitage. During this period, residents and visitors can enjoy over a hundred festive, sporting, and religious events.

Mayor Alfonso noted, "our festivities are an explosion of life, a collective expression of excitement, a desire to share and celebrate who we are." This year, the opening speech will be delivered by Luis García Mondéjar, former head of the Protocol Office of the Town Hall.

Councillor Juan de Dios García detailed the programme, emphasising the variety of events catering to all audiences. The III Cobetazo and the lighting of the festive decorations will take place on Friday, 5 September, at 21:30, featuring the Valladolid-based group Siloé.

Councillor Carlos Perelló highlighted that the festivities will include 31 competitive and participatory sports events across 34 different sports disciplines. Music will be a major attraction, with concerts scheduled in the Plaza de España and the Molina de Segura Events Venue (REMO). Artists such as David Otero and Fangoria will perform, while the REMO will host the 20th edition of the B SIDE Festival on 5 and 6 September.

The mayor expressed gratitude to all those who contribute to making these celebrations possible and expressed his hope that they will be experienced with joy and respect.
