The Region of Murcia has emerged as the second most entrepreneurial community in Spain, creating an average of 10.2 new companies each day this year, compared to the national average of 7.1, according to data from the National Institute of Statistics (INE).
As of August, a total of 2,527 commercial companies have been established in the region during the first eight months of the year. This represents a significant annual increase of 26.5%, well above the national average growth rate of 8.5%.
Luis Alberto Marín, the regional Minister of Business, Employment and Social Economy, commented that these figures "reflect the talent and entrepreneurial spirit of the Region, which has consistently been one of the areas with the highest number of new businesses and the lowest dissolution rates." He added, "This dynamism also indicates that entrepreneurs are confident in developing their business projects when they find the right conditions and support to succeed."
In August alone, 187 new companies were registered in the region, marking a remarkable growth of 34.5% compared to the national average of 5.7%. Consequently, the Region of Murcia ranks third in Spain for the number of new companies established during that month.
