Navarre theatre school to host black comedy 'Las Reinas Kanpina' this Wednesday

This Wednesday at 20:00, the Escuela Navarra de Teatro will showcase the black comedy 'Las Reinas Kanpina', marking the third offering in the municipal theatre cycle Antzerki Aroa, which features performances in the Basque language.

Tickets are available for €8 at the box office and on the Escuela Navarra de Teatro's website. The play, directed by Eva Redondo and featuring a cast that includes Maider Lekunberri, Maitane Pérez, and Olatz Beobide, explores themes of hierarchical repetition, the balance between work and leisure, and the abuse of power.

Set against the backdrop of a group of women on holiday at the same campsite, the comedy uses humour to address the rights and responsibilities associated with their time off. Eva Redondo is a prominent playwright, theatre director, actress, and educator. Olatz Beobide, one of the lead actresses, boasts over thirty years of experience in theatre, film, and television. The cast also includes Maider Lekunberri and Maitane Pérez, both founders of La Cuerda Teatroa, an initiative aimed at provoking reflection and emotion among audiences.
