The Felipe VI Theatre in Estepona is set to host the performance ‘Iconos o la exploración del destino’ featuring renowned actor Rafael Álvarez, known as ‘El Brujo’. The event will take place on Saturday, 10 October, at 21:00.
‘Iconos o la exploración del destino’ is a humorous monologue that reflects on the concept of fate within Greek tragedy. The performance showcases iconic figures such as Medea, Oedipus, Antigone, and Hecuba, exploring the powerful influence of fate in the lives of these tragic heroes.
The narrative also draws comparisons with Hindu mythology, where the notion of karma intertwines with the dynamics of fate and freedom. Álvarez intersperses these themes with autobiographical experiences, presenting them through humorous parodies.
