Reus airport resumes air connection with Poland through new charter routes

Reus airport will once again connect with Poland, with TUI Poland launching two new charter routes from May 2027. The flights will operate weekly, with the Katowice route available from 17 May to 11 October 2027, and the Poznań route running from 24 May to 4 October.

The introduction of these new connections is part of a collaborative effort by the Strategic Airport Committee, supported by the Tourism Board of the Diputació de Tarragona. This initiative aims to tap into the Polish market, which has shown significant potential for tourism in the Costa Daurada, given its high travel intent and preference for Spain as a European destination.

According to official data from 2025, over 3 million Polish tourists visited Spain, marking a 23.6% increase from the previous year. Catalonia ranks as the second most popular destination for Polish tourists in Spain, following the Canary Islands, accounting for 20% of arrivals. In the Costa Daurada, nearly 14,000 Polish tourists stayed in hotels, apartments, and campsites between January and August 2026.

This demographic is relatively young and family-oriented; in 2025, 34% of Polish tourists travelled with children, while 25% travelled as couples. Popular activities among Polish visitors in the Costa Daurada include city tours and beach enjoyment, aligning well with the region's tourism offerings.

Packages including flights and accommodation are now available for the Polish market. Flights can only be purchased as part of a holiday package that includes accommodation in the Costa Daurada, and TUI Poland is currently finalising contracts with local hotel partners to expand accommodation options over the coming weeks.
