The Diputación de Córdoba, through its Department of Sports and Civil Protection, is once again promoting the ‘Circuito de educación vial a través de una obra de títeres’. This initiative, which started last year, aims to foster road safety education from an early age and to encourage safer, healthier, autonomous, and sustainable mobility habits.

Antonio Martín, the head of the department, highlighted that this project is part of a collaboration with the Asociación Cultural Bomborombillo, addressing the need to move towards a mobility model that supports walking and cycling. He stated, “This educational intervention is based on the concept of active, safe, autonomous, and sustainable mobility (M.A.S.A), through which we aim for students to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for responsible and safe travel.”

Martín also noted, “We continue with a project that we initiated in 2025, with the goal of expanding its reach to other educational centres, adapting activities to the characteristics of each municipality and taking advantage of the opportunities offered by smaller towns to promote such modes of transport.”

This year, the programme will visit the towns of Castro del Río on 21 October, Baena on 22 October, Puente Genil on 28 October, and La Rambla on 29 October.
