The municipal sports delegate, Bernardo Crespo, has highlighted the support from Ronda's Town Hall for the Club Bádminton Ronda, as they prepare to host the National Senior Master and the National Parabadminton Circuit this weekend.
The municipal collaboration includes the use of facilities at the El Fuerte Sports Centre, preparation of the courts, and adjustments to the venue for both competitions, which will take place on 17 and 18 October.
The National Senior Master will feature 119 players across various categories, ranging from those over 30 years old to veterans, representing clubs from across Spain. Among the participants are national champions and athletes with international experience, competing in men's and women's singles, men's and women's doubles, and mixed doubles.
Meanwhile, the National Parabadminton Circuit will bring together 11 athletes with different disabilities, including international competitors and medalists from European events.
The event's organisation will involve the board of the Club Bádminton Ronda and a large team of volunteers, with the club represented in the competition by José Antonio Rojas and Rocío Caballero.
The Saturday schedule will commence around 09:00 and continue until approximately 20:00, while the competition will resume on Sunday at 09:00 and conclude at midday with an awards ceremony.
This event reaffirms Ronda's status as a host for national competitions and underscores the collaboration between the Town Hall and local sports organisations.
