This sporting event will feature local boxer Clara López Salazar, who is set to compete against Ireland's Christina Desmond for the European super lightweight championship.

The evening will include both men's and women's Olympic boxing matches, as well as classic amateur boxing bouts. In the amateur category, Sagunto's Ibtisam Zehaf will face Alicante's Alba Sarabia. Additionally, several international professional boxing matches will take place, culminating in the headline fight for the European super lightweight championship between López and Desmond.

Ticket prices for the boxing event are as follows: €25 for general admission, €30 for ring-side seats, €50 for front and second-row seats, and €400 for a VIP table for six, which includes catering.

The professional weigh-in is scheduled for Friday, 23 October, at 19:00 at the Antiguo Sanatorio Civic Centre in Puerto de Sagunto, with free entry for fans wishing to attend.

The championship presentation featured remarks from Javier Timón, the councillor for Physical Activity, Health and Sports; Davinia Bono, the General Director of Equality and the Institute of Women of the Valencian Government; Clara López; her coach and president of the Lord Boxing Club Puerto de Sagunto, Ramón Lord; and event promoter and manager Antonio Juárez. Other club boxers, including Ibtisam Zehaf, Mounir Ait Ahmed, and Izan Vázquez, along with coach Manuel Bronchal, were also present.

Timón highlighted the unifying power of sports, referencing the collaboration between administrations and sports clubs. He noted the significance of women's boxing in revitalising the sport in Sagunto, stating, “For a sport traditionally seen as male-dominated, it is important that women's boxing is leading the way here.” He praised López for her dedication and effort in each of her fights, expressing hopes for a successful evening and wishing good luck to other local competitors.

Davinia Bono emphasised the importance of equality and women's representation in all areas, including sports. She expressed her anticipation for the event, stating, “I hope to present you with that belt that means so much to all of us.” Ramón Lord thanked the administrations and promoters for bringing the event to Sagunto, recalling the club's first visit to the town hall, where it was described as “a supersonic rocket taking off.”

Clara López expressed her gratitude for the support received and encouraged the community to attend the event, stating, “After all, we all represent this town, and in my case, Spain.”
