The Shop in Andorra Festival is set to return with an enhanced programme of workshops and live music, running from 6 to 22 November. This year’s event promises to bring a fresh experience to the commercial hubs of Andorra, with new stages and the participation of renowned industry experts.
With a budget of €736,000, the festival has been a staple since its inception in 2013, featuring three weekends filled with activities centred around fashion, gastronomy, and live performances. Noemí Pedra, marketing and communications director of Andorra Turisme, emphasised the festival's commitment to quality, stating, "Live music is one of the most valued aspects by our followers and visitors. It is crucial to incorporate street workshops, especially for adults, to enhance the overall experience."
Jordi Torres, Andorra’s Minister of Tourism and Commerce, expressed optimism for high attendance, noting that the festival has consistently seen significant increases in visitor numbers over the past 13 years. He acknowledged the global challenge of staff shortages, linking it to broader housing issues faced by major cities worldwide, rather than being unique to Andorra.
The festival will also feature a forum of experts, including Benoit Mahé, to discuss and reflect on the current state of commerce. In addition to entertainment, the event aims to provide learning opportunities and expert advice.
