The recently renovated Mestre Ferrero park in Ontinyent welcomed the third edition of 'Tic Tac al parc' on Saturday, attracting hundreds of attendees, including many families. This initiative, organised by the city council's departments of Sustainability and Parks and Gardens, featured a diverse range of free activities designed for all ages.
The event, which followed two previous editions held at the Mamás Belgues park, offered a full day of programming. Activities included a family bike ride, creative workshops, traditional games, nature-related activities, storytelling sessions, and artistic performances such as 'Cuentiritando', 'Ritmos del mundo', and the roaming show 'Oz', which concluded the day's events.
Sayo Gandia, the councillor for Sustainability and Parks and Gardens, expressed her satisfaction with the event's success and the enthusiastic participation from families. She stated, 'The aim was to encourage people to come to Mestre Ferrero park, discover it, and enjoy a different day with their families. The reception has been very positive, and the response motivates us to continue working in this direction.'
Gandia also emphasised the importance of enlivening the city's green spaces with activities that promote community engagement. 'Parks are places for us to meet, play, learn, and share time together. With initiatives like this, we want citizens to experience and take ownership of these spaces,' she explained.
