In his message, Velázquez noted that these awards honour the hard work and dedication of many from Castilla-La Mancha, celebrating the talent present in fields such as culture, sport, social action, and heritage preservation. “These awards recognise individuals and entities that are a true example for everyone,” he remarked, adding that the recipients demonstrate that “we can be better, we can do things better.”

The Palliative Care Unit of the Toledo Hospital Complex and Cristina Agudo, a young representative from Down Toledo, were also recognised.
Additionally, Velázquez presented the ‘Toledo Excellent’ Award to Rutas de Toledo, a company founded 14 years ago by Luis Bausá, Juan Luis Alonso Oliva, and Antonio Gudiel, which aims to showcase Toledo’s heritage in an engaging and informative manner.
