Torrevieja is set to celebrate its designation as the Valencian Cultural Capital for 2025 with a weekend full of events. The festivities will commence on Saturday, 10 October, with the Torrevieja Symphony Orchestra's inaugural concert of the season, titled El Genio de Bonn – Beethoven y el Romanticismo francés, starting at 19:00.
Conducted by maestro José Miguel Rodilla, the concert will feature Beethoven's Egmont Overture, Édouard Lalo's Cello Concerto performed by soloist David Apellániz, and Beethoven's Symphony No. 5.
On Sunday, 11 October, the celebrations will continue at the International Auditorium with the third edition of the Iron Canary Fest – Eusebio Esteban, a fitness and bodybuilding competition that will bring together prominent athletes. The event will also include an expo showcasing the latest innovations in the sector.
Additionally, on Sunday at 11:00, the Municipal Theatre will host the Valencian Cultural Capital Gala, where Torrevieja will officially receive its recognition. The ceremony will feature performances from the Conservatory, the Coral School, and the Dance School.
Tickets for Beethoven's concert are available starting from €18.75, while entry for the Iron Canary Fest begins at €40.
