The Universitat de Lleida (UdL) has inaugurated a new community piano at its Cappont campus, complementing another piano installed in May at the Rectorat cafeteria. This latest addition, located on the -1 level of the Polivalente 1 building, will be available to the university community and local residents with musical knowledge from Monday to Friday, between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM and 9:00 PM.
Núria Casado, the vice-rector for Culture, emphasised the significance of placing the piano in this campus, as it is closer to students pursuing music specialisations in their Education degrees. The inaugural concert featured performances from members of the Cappont campus community and two representatives from the Pianos Vius association, including the Cor Mención de Educación Musical from the Faculty of Education, Psychology and Social Work (FEPTS), the Cor Benestar, singer Paula Milara, along with several pianists and vocalists.
