The Municipal Language Normalisation Service has announced a series of free guided literary tours in València during October and November. This initiative invites both residents and visitors to experience the city from a fresh perspective: that of the authors who lived there and transformed their experiences into literature, according to José Luis Moreno, the city’s councillor for Cultural Action, Heritage, and Cultural Resources.
These tours are part of the 'Rutes Literàries València' project, which currently features four marked itineraries. The routes aim to connect the public with the works of writers from the region by exploring the spaces and life moments that inspired them.
The first tour, dedicated to the writer Maria Beneyto, takes place today, 10 October, with a repeat scheduled for 7 November. A tour focusing on the work of Vicent Andrés Estellés is set for 17 October, followed by another on 14 November. Those interested in discovering the perspective of Carmelina Sánchez-Cutillas can join tours on 31 October and 15 November. Lastly, a route dedicated to Marc Granell will take place on 21 November.
Further information on each itinerary can be found on the Rutas Literàries València website.
