Vinaròs installs safety ladder at sports city to enhance security

The Sports Department of Vinaròs has made significant strides in maintaining and improving municipal sports facilities, with a particular focus on compliance with regulations, occupational risk prevention, and the safety of both municipal staff and external contractors.

A fixed safety ladder has been installed to provide access to the roof of the changing rooms at the Ciudad Deportiva football field. Previously, access was only possible via a manual ladder, which posed a considerable risk to those responsible for inspection, monitoring, and maintenance tasks.

This construction project has been in planning for approximately ten years and was included in the risk prevention plans for municipal sports facilities, drafted by the specialised external company UNIMAT. These documents identify deficiencies and outline measures to enhance risk prevention and safety at each facility.

Sports councillor Luis Adell emphasised that, "with this action, we are addressing a long-standing need, fulfilling our obligations regarding prevention, and, above all, ensuring that both our staff and external personnel can carry out maintenance and inspection tasks under safe conditions." He further noted, "it is not only about executing large projects but also about addressing all necessary maintenance and safety actions that are essential for ensuring the durability and proper functioning of the facilities."
