The Community of Madrid has illuminated the façade of the Real Casa de Correos, the seat of the regional government, in the colours of the Spanish flag to celebrate National Day on 12 October. The display, featuring red and yellow lights, will be visible today and tomorrow.
In addition to the national colours, the building located at Puerta del Sol showcases the flags of 22 Spanish-speaking countries along with the United States, which is the guest nation for this year's Hispanidad 2026 cultural event. The initiative is themed 'Because all accents of Spanish fit in Madrid' and has been ongoing since 2 October, featuring a programme of over 200 activities across the region.
