The Community of Madrid has published a guide on European authors to enhance citizens' understanding of the cultural wealth of the European Union (EU). This latest publication, focusing on Poland, is the third volume in an initiative spearheaded by the Directorate General for Cooperation with the State and the EU, and was unveiled in conjunction with the celebration of the European Day of Languages.
This guide provides an overview of Polish literature and music, along with insights into some of the country's most notable festivals. The aim is to raise awareness of Poland's cultural traditions and the authors who have made significant contributions to both European and global culture.
Previous volumes have covered Romania and Hungary, further illustrating the cultural diversity that characterises the member states of the EU. This material complements the resources offered by the European Documentation Centre and the Europe Direct point in the Community of Madrid, which provide cultural content and information about opportunities related to this European institution for students, educators, and citizens.
