Estepona's Town Hall has unveiled the programme for the upcoming ‘Estepona, Vive sus Calles en Otoño’, an event aimed at celebrating cultural and leisure activities for residents and tourists alike. The event will take place from 9 to 11 October, starting each day at 19:00.
The Councillor for Culture and Festivities, Macarena Diánez, detailed the diverse range of activities planned across various locations in the city. The opening night will feature four short theatrical performances, allowing audiences to experience theatre up close in public spaces.
Among the highlights of the event is a concert by the choir ‘Love to Sing’ on Friday at 19:30 at the Mirador del Carmen, with proceeds benefiting the Emaús Social Dining Room. Following this, guitarist and singer Steven Anderton will perform at 20:00 near the Castillo de San Luís, covering songs from iconic artists such as Dire Straits, Santana, and Bruce Springsteen. The evening will conclude with a flamenco show, ‘Magia Andaluza’, featuring guitarist Salvador Andrades at the Orquidario at 21:00.
For families, Sunday will offer a trampoline park at the Palacio de Exposiciones y Congresos, with 1,200 invitations available for collection at the Centro Cultural Padre Manuel from 5 to 7 October. Each family can reserve a maximum of two passes for one-hour slots, limited to 150 people per session.
Additional activities include an immersive escape room experience, ‘Universo Mágico’, at the Centro Cultural Padre Manuel on Saturday, and a gymkhana starting at 19:00 from Plaza Antonia Guerrero. Musical performances on Saturday will feature the Joaquín Castellano Jazz Quartet at 20:30 in Plaza del Reloj, followed by a concert by the renowned Spanish band Seguridad Social at 22:00 in Plaza del Ajedrez. Celebrating nearly 45 years in the music industry, Seguridad Social is known for delivering some of the best live rock performances in Spain.
On Sunday, soprano Klaudya will present her show ‘Renacer’ at Teatro Auditorio Felipe VI at 20:00, a tribute to resilience. Klaudya, a Málaga native, recently won the Spanish television competition Aria: Locos por la Ópera. The event will conclude with a performance by Juan Santamaría at 21:00 in Plaza del Reloj, celebrating the music of the iconic cantautor Carlos Cano.
Other cultural activities include a painting workshop, ‘Metamorfosis’, on Saturday at 11:00 at the Biblioteca de Culturas Contemporáneas, and a creative workshop for hand-painted jewellery at the former Adult Centre on Calle Terraza from 12:00 to 13:00.
