From October 9 to October 10, 2026, a lifeguard training program for surfers will take place at San Lorenzo beach in Gijón. Registrations will be open from October 2 to October 6 at the Central de Salvamento, between 11 AM and 5 PM.
Requirements:
Participants must bring their own wetsuit and surfboard.
A basic and autonomous handling of the sea is necessary.
The program is limited to 40 participants, and spots will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. The technical direction will be overseen by Jonan Etxebarria, with training provided by specialist instructors from the IPSE.
