On October 8, 2026, the City of Móstoles held a recognition event at the City Museum to honor 24 local businesses that have been operating for 50 years or more. The ceremony was attended by Móstoles Mayor Manuel Bautista, the first deputy mayor and councilor for Security, Emergencies, and Environment, Gabriel Monteserín, and the third deputy mayor and councilor for Economy, Industry, Employment, Development, and Tourism Promotion, Ángeles García, along with other members of the municipal government.

The mayor emphasized the significant contributions of these businesses, stating that they "have driven the local economy, creating jobs and building community," and praised their ongoing efforts to maintain their operations with the same enthusiasm and quality as when they first began. He remarked, "You are fundamental pieces in the business and commercial fabric of our city. You generate wealth and prosperity in Móstoles and provide solutions and services to the citizens."

The honored businesses span various sectors, including food, textiles, fashion, health, hospitality, and metal carpentry, among others.

Additionally, the honorary invited company recognized was Los Combos, a dairy business founded in 1945 in Móstoles, known for its own livestock and artisan products. At 92 years old, owner Juan Francisco Pontes continues to lead the company, which sells over 1.5 million liters of milk throughout Spain and is the only farm in the region that dispenses fresh milk in large quantities.
