La Cueva sports centre in Fuenlabrada has recently opened four new padel courts available for both municipal schools and the general public. The courts can now be rented for use, enhancing the sporting facilities in the area.
The development of these courts involved an investment of approximately €223,000 and complements the existing facilities at the Fermín Cacho sports centre. The new courts are equipped with state-of-the-art construction elements, featuring artificial grass surfaces laid over treated concrete to facilitate rainwater drainage.
Additionally, an energy-efficient LED lighting system has been installed to ensure optimal visibility while reducing energy consumption. The courts are enclosed with tempered safety glass and a structure made from treated steel profiles, providing maximum resistance to weather conditions and continuous use. Each court also includes a drinking water fountain.
Agustín Domínguez, the Councillor for Sports, commented on the importance of these new facilities for the community.
