Palacio de La Magdalena offers special Halloween tours for children

04/10/2026 The Palacio de La Magdalena has announced special Halloween tours designed for children, set to take place on Friday, October 30, and Saturday, October 31. The tours will be held at 18:00, 19:00, 20:30, and 21:30 under the title 'La llave dorada' (The Golden Key).

Fran Arias, the city’s Tourism Councillor, explained that this event provides a unique opportunity to explore one of Santander's most iconic locations during a festive time. The tours will feature a themed journey through the historic building, led by the ghostly bellboy who has been trapped there since 1920.

This year, the tours will include special decorations from the start, aimed at enhancing audience participation and creating a Halloween-themed experience. Each tour will last approximately one hour, beginning with a ride on the 'train of terror'—known as 'Magdaleno' during the rest of the year.

Arias emphasized that these tours offer a different way to engage with the Palacio de La Magdalena and its spaces, specifically designed for children during this festive period. Due to limited capacity, advance ticket purchase is recommended as they tend to sell out quickly.

Tickets will be available for purchase starting tomorrow, October 5, at 18:00 through the Palacio de La Magdalena website, www.palaciomagdalena.com. The price is set at 17 euros per person, and entry is required for all attendees over the age of 2. Children under 2 can enter for free with an adult who has a ticket, but this must be requested via email at palaciomagdalena@santanderdestino.es. Due to capacity restrictions, a maximum of five children under 2 years old are allowed per session, and all children must be accompanied by an adult, with a maximum of three children per adult.

Participants, both children and adults, are encouraged to come in costume, although masks are only permitted for children.
