Tarancón to host free concert featuring orchestras Panorama and Sonital

The Government of Castilla-La Mancha has announced that residents of Tarancón and the wider Cuenca province are invited to a free concert featuring the orchestras Panorama and Sonital on Saturday, 31 October. The event will take place at the Ferial Park in Tarancón, with entry granted until capacity is reached.

This concert is part of the '50 years together' programme, which celebrates the 50th anniversary of the beginning of Spain's democratic transition. The initiative aims to reflect on a pivotal period in the nation’s history and to revive the spirit of dialogue, coexistence, and consensus that facilitated the establishment of democracy in Spain.

Following the success of a concert held on 24 October in Cuenca, which attracted around 6,000 attendees to performances by La Brújula and París de Noia, Tarancón will now host the final event in the regional cycle of large orchestras titled 'The music that changed a country'. This initiative has visited ten municipalities across Castilla-La Mancha, rekindling the essence of traditional social gatherings known as verbenas and guateques, which have served as important meeting points for generations.

At the Tarancón concert, attendees will enjoy performances from Sonital, one of the oldest orchestras in Castilla-La Mancha based in Ciudad Real, and Panorama, a nationally renowned group that will conclude its 2026 tour in the Cuenca town with their show, Time Tour.

The event is organised in collaboration with the Tarancón City Council. Access to the Ferial Park will begin at 19:00, with entrances available from Calle Los Novios, Avenida Pablo Iglesias, and the entrance closest to Avenida Adolfo Suárez. Entry is free until full capacity is reached, and attendees are advised that bringing beverages into the venue is prohibited.

The '50 years together' programme encompasses over 500 cultural, educational, and participatory activities scheduled to continue until April 2027 throughout Castilla-La Mancha. In addition to concerts, the province of Cuenca will host various exhibitions and cultural initiatives aimed at reflecting on the experiences of the Transition and the social, political, and cultural changes that have occurred over the past five decades.
