The mayor has invited the entire city to enjoy a “magnificent performance” and recommended attending, stating that “it is worth it.” The performance will begin at 6 PM in the Patio de Armas, with free admission until the space is filled.
'Vigo 1719. A Forgotten Struggle' recounts the events of the invasion and siege, highlighting the bravery of 800 defenders who valiantly protected the city against the English forces. The local council is organizing this performance in collaboration with the Municipal School of Theatre.
Fifteen actors, directed by professor Jimmy Núñez, will recreate this military event that turned Vigo into an example of resistance, shaping the character of its citizens.
